Argentinische Ärger mit Documenta 13/ (6) Carolyn Christov-Bakarviev desiste del traslado del meteorito

En la web oficial de la dOCUMENTA 13 el domingo 22 de enero de 2012 se pudo leer la siguiente respuesta a la carta de Jorge Castillo, en respuesta la carta que publicáramos en WKTK

Dear Jorge Castillo,

I appreciate your email. However, my Spanish is not very good and therefore it is difficult for me to understand the below texts  (1) , which I will have translated for me early next week.


Please note in the meantime that I have become aware of the discussions and the opposition to the proposal of temporarily lending the Chaco meteorite to the documenta exhibition in Kassel. The history of documenta, and the intentions of this edition of the exhibition, point clearly to the fact that documenta will never act in any way against the wishes of the "pueblos originarios" who are the traditional custodians. Therefore, I would like to inform you that we have suspended our request already several days ago.
I would recommend that all the people involved, and their chosen representatives,  meet with the artists who made this proposal, in order to discuss the matter together. (2)

Estimado Jorge Castillo,

Le agradezco su correo electrónico. Sin embargo, mi español no es muy bueno y por lo tanto es difícil para mí entender los textos a continuación (1) , que serán traducidos para mí la próxima semana.


Tenga en cuenta que, mientras tanto, me he dado cuenta de las discusiones y la oposición a la propuesta de préstamo temporal del meteorito del Chaco a la Documenta de Kassel. La historia de la Documenta, y las intenciones de esta edición,  apuntan claramente al hecho de que la Documenta no actuará de ninguna manera en contra de los deseos de los "pueblos originarios", que son los guardianes tradicionales. Por lo tanto, me gustaría informarle de que hemos suspendido nuestra solicitud ya hace varios días.
Yo recomendaría que todas las personas involucradas, y sus representantes elegidos, se reúnan con los artistas que hicieron esta propuesta, con el fin de discutir el asunto en conjunto. (2)

1) Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev se refiere a cartas y textos que figuraban hasta el día lunes en el sito d13.documenta.de/#/research/research/view/el-chaco y fueron quitados la mañana del día de ayer sin darse a conocer los motivos.

2) Esta recomendación nos sorprende. ¿Guillermo Faivovich &  Nicolás Goldberg intentaban trasladar el meteorito El Chaco sin haber tenido nunca contacto con la comunidad Moqoit? ¿Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev no lo sabía? ¿No se dió cuenta de ello cuando viajó al Chaco el 21 de mayo de 2011 y fotografió a los artistas argentinos con los que intenta dar el show mediático en su dOCUMENTA?
